Hans Krüsi (1920-1995) belongs - together with Wölfli, Aloise and Anton-Müller - to the most outstanding Swiss creators of the art brut. An orphan who became a farmhand and then a gardener, he took the train from St. Gallen to Zurich every day for more than thirty years to sell his flowers in the street.

In the mid-1970s, when he began to offer his drawings as well, the picturesque and terribly endearing character of the chic streets of Zurich soon attracted the attention of gallery owners and collectors.

In Krüsi we discovered a protean creator - sound recordings and photographs complete his painting - who, to ward off his loneliness, inventoried his world with originality.

This first exhibition in France will be accompanied by the publication of a bilingual monograph, the first title of our Outsiders collection.
