Discovered and invited to the House of Artists only a few years ago, Günther Schützenhöfer has developed his own unmistakable style. He finds self-contained, abstract shapes for simple objects and sets specific colour accents in his pencil drawings, which often appear virtually three-dimensional. Having completed the contours, Schützenhöfer colours in the resulting areas in calm strokes: very slowly and deliberately. His often humorous and apposite oeuvre comprises small to medium-sized works so far. Additionally, he has been working on larger formats for some time.
